as we grow together, change together, dream together, cry together, laugh together, i will look back on our days and cherish each and every one. the past may be gone forever and who knows what the future holds, but our todays are making memories of tomorrow.

Ben at home on the first day of kindergarten
Ben's teacher Mrs. Reid
Bye mom!
Looming parent.
Well, today was the day that Ben started his first day of Pepp kindergarten at Turtleback elementary school. He did great.  His new teacher seems wonderful.  The first thing Ben said when we stepped on to campus was......"man this place is big"  So....we start the journey.  It was much tougher on me this morning then him (see next post)  All in all it was a great day.  I can't believe that this day is finally here.  I worry most about him having a good experience at school.  I want him to love school.  I will keep you posted on his genius learnings that I am sure will take place this year.
Yep, that's me....big ol' cry baby.  I don't think I could have anticipated the sadness.  I was nervous that HE would be sad with the separation.  He has been home with mommy and daddy for 2 full months.  I was nervous because I didn't know everything about how the day would go.
Mrs. Reid said he did great in class.  School gets out at 11:30 and then he goes to after school care.  I was anxious to go pick him up so we went and picked him up together from ESS (after school care) about an hour into it.  As soon as he saw us he started crying alot.  New class and switching to more new people in ESS was a bit overwhelming I guess.  He said the ladies looked scary.  Anyway, it is the start of a new chapter in our lives and the closing of another.  He will will always be my baby.

Childhood is the most beautiful of all life's seasons.  ~Author Unknown

Wow have we been busy for 2 straight weeks!  Friends and family adding so much excitement and play time fun to every day.
From Boogie boarding and beach play, to a huge family reunion at our house, mixed in with a little jet skiing, padres presidential suite and meeting the chicken.  Then there of course is the new trend of growing out the hair! (unfortunately due to blogger technical difficulties, you will not be able to view the chicken and poof hair at this time.  Attempting 10 times to load the same photos has just proven to make me mad and say bad words to my nice computer)
