Quad lessons 101

Ben was VERY good this year so Santa brought him a quad.
Daddy took him out 4-wheeling. Once over on our neighbors
dirt dumpster and then he found this great canyon by our house
to go cruise in. He loves it and seems to drive a bit better than
his dad! :-)

Super Heroes Strike Again!

There have been multiple super hero sightings at the Smith house.
We were lucky to get a picture of flash since he moves so fast.
And Superman was kind enough to pose with our visiting looney.
All in all, we feel pretty safe around here.

Snow Dayz!!

Well it does snow down here in so. cal. Just a short 30 minute drive and Wa-La!
We are sledding, having snow ball fights and building a not so big snow man.
Fun was had by all. And with a quick stop at R.E.I before we hit the road we
were all warm.

Playing Hookey!

Yep, Ben officially turned 3! Ben and I played hookey from school on the day of his birthday and went to Disneyland! It was magical.
It is already decorated for Christmas and it is just beautiful. We had a GREAT day.

Spider pancakes for Spiderman!

This is a weekend ritual. Daddy takes what ever is H-O-T hot for the
week on Ben's mind and creates "breakfast" So this week, he is
VERY into his spiderman costume....hence the spider pancake.
This makes one happy boy! Dad Rocks!

Top Gun Guy

Part of the Dude day extravaganza on Saturday. The boys went to a football game AND to Mira Mar to see some jets one on one!

Max the super dog and his side kick batboy!
Max's wonderful grama margo got him his super
suit so he would feel like he fit in with the rest
of the family!

Firehouse adventure!

Today we went to a firehouse open house. It was every little boys
dream. He got to ride on a moving fire truck, sit on a police
motorcycle, try on fireman gear and climb on an ambulance. Just
to mention a few things.

Halloween comes early!

It is never too early and you are never too old to dress up for halloween.
We have decided to be the super hero family this year. The boys are
Batman & Spiderman or a little combination of both at times!
Mom will be wonderwoman.....of course!

Super Power Cast

WEll here it is! It looks much worse than it really is. We decided to
have it casted so that he would be protected at preschool. He
only has to have it on for 2 weeks. He thinks it gives him super
powers! Well who wouldnt?

Broken :-(

Well it happened. We have our first broken bone.
Ben broke his right thumb (not the one he sucks!)
Unfortunately pinned it between the concrete and
a 2x4. It is a small fracture and should heal just
fine. He is wearing a splint for now.

Big Boy

I don't know what it is about this picture. He looks like he is so tall and grown up!
He was just out on his daily mission of chasing the grasshoppers and balancing on
rocks. So boy, so cute!

1st Sleepover

Ben's first sleepover! His cousin Anthony (5 y.o.) came over
to our house for a sleepover. They had a great time.

Let the games begin! My boys at the padre game. Baseball is one of Ben's favorite sports. You should see how he can hit it!

Beach boys!

My favorite beach boys. What a summer it has been.
This is at La jolla cove. We were practicing some snorkeling.
Ben got his first pair of swim goggles to try out. He put his face
in the bath water at home, but it was a no go out at the beach.
We will try again soon.

Picture 3- THE END. If you look, and you dont have to look too closely you will see that the stuff is wet and muddy why you ask? Well, peer out the back window of the van and you will see.....it is RAINING! Yes, raining, like hawaii, with 90% humidity. Now this happened after our fine camping neighbor pulled up in his baby blue jalopy (with no tent) proclaiming that it was his birthday, he was a truck driver, ex-military, going to party all night and hoped we didnt mind. Then saw Ben and said "oh...you have one of those" Needless to say, he drank much and philosophized more about politics, god and everything else on the planet, while figuring out some way to drop the F@#$ bomb about every 2 words or so. Long night for all. Cant wait to go back!
